Daniel’s expertise includes thoroughbred sale and purchase agreements, stallion syndication, stallion standing agreements (including dual hemisphere standing), agistment and foal share agreements, commercial advice, litigation and business acquisition. He also heads our specialist debt recovery team.
Daniel has a lifetime’s experience in the industry as a competitor, owner, trainer and breeder. He has also run a small agistment farm. Daniel is a Director and past President of the Scone Race Club. He is also founding director of Safe Industries Australia which offers tailored Work Health and Safety (WHS) advice.
Annette helps business owners and managers find creative solutions to complex legal problems. She believes that the best lawyers don’t only have the most thorough knowledge of the law, they also look at a client’s broader business objectives and relationships.
Annette oversees our corporate and commercial practice and helps provide strategic legal solutions to business owners, executives and directors. Her specialties include contract law, commercial law and intellectual property. Many of Annette’s clients have grown businesses that have become successful nationally and even internationally. She has also been involved in thoroughbred industry for nearly 25 years as an owner and breeder of race horses.
Outside of the law, Annette has been a successful businessperson and entrepreneur. Her businesses span the interior design and hospitality industries as well as thoroughbred racing.
Helen Sinclair heads Thoroughbred Advisory. Helen has extensive thoroughbred industry knowledge and experience, having been a long serving race club administrator at several NSW racing clubs, including Scone and Muswellbrook.
Helen is widely acknowledged as one of Australia’s leading experts in running a successful racing club. She has consulted to many clubs on business issues such as sponsorship, marketing, event management, crisis management and financial and staff issues.
In 2011, Helen was commissioned by Racing NSW to write a manual on the best practice procedures for running a race club. The manual is distributed to clubs across country NSW and has been updated twice.
Helen formerly managed a private investment portfolio, before moving to Scone to manage a horse stud. She also established a successful Business Enterprise Centre in Scone. Helen has three adult children, some of whom have followed her passion with their own successful careers in the thoroughbred industry.
Daniel Bowcock has over three decades experience in the area of health and safety as it relates to agribusiness and the thoroughbred industry. He is a director of Safe Industries Australia and works closely with clients and their staff to understand the issues and problems faced in order to provide a safe workplace.
Daniel brings a hands-on and practical approach to workplace health and safety, gained through his experience in a wide range of industries. He is passionate about providing best practice health and safety advice to meet the increasing legislative requirements faced by business owners.
Daniel has taught workplace health and safety at TAFE level, and is also commercially minded in his approach, having managed his own business in the construction, earthmoving and waste management industries for some years.
